Every weekly lawn care visit from Connolly Landscaping covers four things: the mow, edging, trimming and weed-eating, and cleanup. Nothing on that list gets skipped.
The Mow
We mow the whole lawn, front and back, and cut all the way to the edges, the fence line, and the property line, not just the easy middle.
Edging
We edge a clean line along the driveway, sidewalks, and curb. The edger cuts down into the soil, so the grass stays off the concrete.
Trimming and Weed-Eating
We trim around everything the mower can't reach: mailboxes, fences, flower beds, AC units, and sprinkler heads. We work carefully around your plants, because a trimmer used carelessly can scalp a plant or strip the bark right off it.
Cleanup
We blow the clippings off your driveway, walks, and entry before we go, and we clear away leaves when they pile up. We never blow clippings into your flower beds, where heavy clumps can smother small plants.

How We Cut Your Grass
We follow four habits every time we mow: we cut at the right height for your grass, aim to take no more than a third of the blade, keep our blades sharp, and change direction every visit.
The Right Height
Most Palm Coast lawns are St. Augustine grass. The University of Florida's guide to St. Augustine grass recommends mowing the standard varieties at 3.5 to 4 inches, so that's where we set the mower. Other grasses, like Bermuda grass, are cut shorter, so we match the height to the grass you have.
Only a Third Off the Top
The University of Florida recommends taking off no more than one-third of the leaf blade in one mowing. That's the standard we work to. A set weekly schedule keeps the lawn even, so no single cut has to take off too much at once.
Sharp Blades
We sharpen our mower blades on a schedule. A sharp blade cuts the grass clean, while a dull one tears it and leaves ragged, brown tips across the whole lawn.
A New Direction Every Visit
We change the mowing direction each week, because running the same path every time can wear ruts into the soft, sandy ground and can scalp the grass.
Does My Lawn Need Mowing Every Week?
Weekly through the warm months. Florida grass grows fast with the heat and the afternoon rains, and weekly grass cutting keeps up with it. Growth slows in the cooler months, and some lawns do fine every other week then. We set your schedule by how the grass is actually growing, not by a fixed calendar.
Either way, your lawn maintenance follows a set route, with the same crew on the same day of the week. We fit your property into that route when we come out for your free estimate, so you know from the start which day to expect us. You also get an email reminder a few days before your visit.

Landscaping in Palm Coast
You don't need separate landscapers. The crew that takes care of your lawn every week also handles hedge trimming, flower beds, mulch, landscape rock, and sod.
Hedge trimming. We trim shrubs and hedges and shape them wider at the bottom than the top, so sunlight reaches the lower branches and the hedge stays full all the way down. We haul the clippings away.
